An Introduction
I'm Andrea Mills – Suicide Awareness Advocate & Mother of Lexi Webb
In 2019 I experienced every parent's worst nightmare. I'd lost my daughter to suicide. As I struggled through my grief, I needed to understand why and how this could have happened to my seemingly cheerful child. My research led to countless interviews with other grieving parents, teachers, school counselors, and experts in the field.
I quickly noticed that sharing what I'd learned with others dealing with similar grief seemed to be making a difference. After learning of the loss of another student's life within our community, I knew something more needed to be done within our schools. Today I lead a foundation in Lexi's honor, the Love Like Lexi Project, with a full-fledged curriculum and volunteer team. Together we're giving students throughout the southeast the tools they need to face and navigate life's toughest challenges.

THE CURRICULUM
#LLL
Love Like LexiWhats Involved?
The project begins with an assembly where a story of hope is shared. This story has positively impacted thousands of students, parents and teachers by building connection and conversations. After the assembly students are given the opportunity to take part in our LLL Workbook that is designed to build resilience, problem solving, personal reflection and self-awareness. At the end of the project students will have the opportunity to participate in a community Love Project.
ACTION ITEM #1
An Assembly
Hear the "story of hope" in our Choose Life assembly. The assembly is what we like to call the encounter. It's the Heartbeat of the Project.
ACTION ITEM #3
Love Project
A school-wide service project that allows students the opportunity to give back to the community what they have received through the LLL Project.
ACTION ITEM #2
Workbook
The toolbox that is needed to navigate life's challenges by helping fill students with purpose, empathy, hope and self-worth.
ACTION ITEM #4
The Parents
Parents play an important and vital role in the success of this project. Our program involves parents throughout the entire course.

COMMUNITY
"As parents, we all need to hear Lexi's story. It will change your outlook on parenting, life, and how to prepare your child for the future, and how to handle difficult situations. We don't get a handbook on how to be a parent. Let's learn from each other. I learned so much in 60 minutes."

This is the perfect curriculum for us, for the social-emotional side of student life. It would be a travesty if the opportunity is not there for every child. If we save one child, if one child learns to choose life, this program has paid off completely.

The message behind this program is very powerful... "I am loved, no matter what!" should be inscribed on their hearts... and be the voice in them loud enough to hear on the "worst day of my life"...
Parents, don't miss out on the parent assembly to hear the message within this program.

What I learned from the curriculum... how things don't define you. You can always change and become better. Failure is going to be your best teacher in life.
